PRE-MEETING EDUCATION: Participate in a slide-show of various defects with an open-floor discussion of how to discuss findings with clients and report on them in writing. Attendees earn one ASHI CE.
This training is FREE to those attending the Chapter meeting at 7:00 p.m.
CHAPTER BUSINESS/DINNER/EDUCATION MEETING.
Karl Kardel, a long-time general contractor based in Piedmont, will speak to us. Mr. Kardel has vast experience, including a full array of commercial and residential projects. Mr. Kardel is a roofing contractor and specialist in historic conservation and water intrusion analysis. He is also a member of WESTCON and has acted as an expert witness and provided litigation support for many years. He will be speaking to us on the testing of crack conditions in stucco and related damages. Attendees earn one ASHI CE.

PROPERTY PROFILE: A classic older East Bay home with lots to discuss! The home has been divided into a duplex and a third rental unit added over the years. Lots of non-permitted work, complex exterior conditions, and good old meat-and-potatoes inspection issues!
A great opportunity to gain a better understanding of the standard of care among local inspectors as you explore the nuts-and-bolts of the inspection process, sharing your experience and benefiting from the expertise of your fellow professionals. We will be inspecting the house and sharing our findings. Discussion will focus on technical issues, as well as ways to discuss findings with clients and how to put findings into a written report.
